 Janice J. Carter

Janice Carter has over 20 years experience in management and business development with Fortune 100 companies and start-up ventures.  She has a BS in Mathematics from University of Guam and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University, specializing in multi-national companies.

Ms. Carter started her career as a programmer for Georgia-Pacific and progressed to Senior Systems Analyst for a software service company, which specialized in developing custom software solutions.

Ms. Carter then joined The Austin Company in Seattle to start a new business unit, which produced monthly telecommunications reports for clients based upon data from telephone calls made. These reports were used to charge back phone costs to users and were also used to analyze traffic patterns in order to reduce communications costs.

She then joined Wright-Runstad to start the first shared tenant service west of the Mississippi, which involved designing, marketing and operating a complete telecommunications system in a high-rise office building in Seattle.  This program was so successful that it was expanded to cover other Wright-Runstad high-rise office buildings.

In 1984, Ms. Carter was recruited by Nordstrom to serve as the Director of Corporate Telecommunications.  She was responsible for all communications for the company during its growth from a west coast company to a national company.  During her tenure, she developed innovative programs to reduce costs, improve operations and services, and introduced new technologies.

Ms. Carter then joined the Hewlett-Packard Company in Palo Alto to test, evaluate, and implement new networking technologies worldwide.  She headed teams in the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Europe.  In addition, she worked with leading telecommunications companies throughout the world to develop new products and services for HP.  She also was the product manager for the global long distance services.

In 1998, Ms. Carter became the Director of IT at 20th Century Fox where she concentrated on upgrading infrastructures and technologies and bringing costs into line.

Before joining MyJets, Ms. Carter became the Western Regional Sales Director for AT&T in 2000.  While in this position, she developed innovative solutions to customer needs and worked with the global sales teams to identify, develop, and close large sales across multiple product lines.
